BLACK HISTORY MONTH
At Richmond Hill High School, Black History Month is being presented with the newly formed Diversity Club at the forefront. The focus is on the culture of the ‘60’s and ‘70’s during the Civil Rights movement as well as notable figures in African American history. Over the course of the month, students will also be able to learn about cultural celebrations such as Kwanzaa and Juneteenth. Through Wildcat News will have trivia questions and on February 21, 2018 there will be a student led, teacher facilitated discussion in The Link, focusing on today’s issues.
This has truly been a collaborative effort from many students from throughout the school to make this happen. They tirelessly worked after school many days, to put together a vision that would be educational and break stereotypes.
The local press is invited to Richmond Hill High school with the Wildcat News, who will have trivia questions February 21, 2018 at 8AM-there will be a student led, teacher facilitated discussion
