Richmond Hill United Methodist Church is a community of faith that glorifies God through worship, service, and witness. We seek to serve our community where there is need and to grow together as followers of Jesus Christ.
Comprised of believers from many places and backgrounds unified by our faith, we are working towards the common goal of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. Our style of worship is predominantly traditional, but on any given Sunday we may include drama, dance, contemporary special music, interactive sermon responses, or other elements through which we can enhance the Message and glorify God.
As people of the United Methodist Church, we have OPEN DOORS to all who wish to journey with us as followers of Jesus Christ, OPEN HEARTS for our community and the world as we reach out to those in need, and OPEN MINDS as we explore together what it means to be a follower of God today.

Richmond Hill United Methodist Church is a community of believers. In 1942, the plans for the church were set in stone as Rev. P.T. Holloway was appointed the first pastor. Services were held in the sanctuary of newly built Baptist church on the second and fourth Sunday’s until a church building could be built. On March 9, 1947, RHUMC held their first service in the Clyde chapel. As the community rapidly grew in the 1980’s, a larger sanctuary became mandatory. The present sanctuary held its first service on December 14, 1986.
