The Richmond Hill Garden Club has selected the home of Jennifer Walker at 230 James Dunham Parkway in the Dunham Marsh subdivision as the April Yard of the Month.  Walker’s front planting beds are filled with a riot of color and definitely provide a bright spot after that severe March freeze.

Working with a color scheme of yellow, purple, and white, Walker mixed gerbera daisies, pinks, and sweet alyssum with purple petunias in a basket and purple verbena and Angelonia. A row of society garlic is just beginning to show its light lavender.  Yellow perennials mix with the neatly trimmed shrubs.  On the other side of the walkway are caladiums that will offer color throughout the summer.  The plantings complement the cottage look of the porch and the beach-themed door decoration, giving a pleasing view from the comfort of the Adirondack chairs.

For her lovely yard, Ms. Walker received a gift certificate from Tim and Dave’s Nursery in Richmond Hill.
