Belinda Baugniet, an executive with Yahoo and Ebates, will be the featured speaker at Georgia Tech-Savannah’s final Learners & Leaders session of 2017, “Digital Marketing Outlook.” The course, sponsored by Savannah Morning News, will take place on Thursday, November 16, from 11:30 am. – 1 p.m. Participants will hear about the current state of digital marketing and future trends, including mobile technology, livestreaming, wireless, one-click payments, and social customer service, among others.

As we come to the end of 2017, marketers are already ramping up for a busy new year. Many are asking where marketing dollars should be spent, in addition to needing to know about the latest technology,” said Diane Lee, director of Georgia Tech-Savannah. “Belinda is the perfect person to address marketing concerns with her background at Yahoo and Ebates. She will help marketers in the coastal empire gain a deeper understanding of the ever-changing online landscape and the best ways to connect with consumers and clients.”

Baugniet currently serves as director of marketing, Canada, at Ebates Inc., the biggest rewards-based shopping site with a strong community of millions of savvy shoppers around the world. She develops strategic marketing programs incorporating traditional media channels, digital and mobile media, and social media with a strong focus on key performance indicators and data attributable results.

The talk, which will include remarks followed by an interactive discussion, will take place at the Savannah Morning News building at 1375 Chatham Parkway. Lunch and networking will begin at 11:30 a.m.; the program will run noon to 1 p.m. Cost, including lunch, is $15.

Georgia Tech-Savannah’s Learners and Leaders series is an effort launched in 2014 to help companies in the coastal region stay current. To date, members of the coastal community have heard speakers on topics of relevance to the business community, including mobile apps, coaching and mentoring, leadership and logistics.
