Join Ogeechee Riverkeeper and Richmond Hill’s own Aveda concept salon and spa – Lavender Hill – in celebrating Earth Month with Aveda during the month of April.

Starting Saturday April 1 and throughout Earth Month, Lavender Hill, 2709 US-17 in Richmond Hill, will give individuals the opportunity to add their name to a water drop with a donation to Ogeechee Riverkeeper and help to fill the salon and spa’s wall by the end of Earth Month.

Raffle tickets for a gift basket including Ogeechee Riverkeeper branded items, Lavender Hill services, and Aveda products will also be available for purchase. Tickets will be available on Ogeechee Riverkeeper’s website and at Lavender Hill priced at $5 per ticket or $20 for five tickets. The raffle drawing will be held at the conclusion of Earth Month on Saturday, April 29. Ticket buyers do not have to be present to win.

In addition, on Saturday, April 22, Lavender Hill will kindly donate 10 percent of all services purchased on this day at their salon to Ogeechee Riverkeeper. This local non-profit organization has been chosen as one of only 75 organizations in the United States to benefit from Aveda’s annual partnerships for 2017 Earth Month. Veda Salons and Spas are founded on the common mission of caring for you and caring for our world around us and every April Aveda undertakes a clean water fundraising and awareness initiative during Earth Month. Veda has been protecting water through partnerships with supporters raising over $44 million for environmental causes since 1999.

“We are honored to have been chosen as an Aveda partner and are looking forward to the opportunities this presents to get involved with the wonderful Aveda salons in our community like Lavender Hill,” Ogeechee Riverkeeper Executive Director Emily Markesteyn Krill said. “Community involvement is key in accomplishing our mission and we will be able to make such an impact with these partnerships throughout this year’s Earth Month as well as in the future.”

Karen Guither, Owner of Lavender Hill, said “We fully embrace Aveda’s philosophy and everyone at the Lavender Hill is very excited about supporting Ogeechee Riverkeeper this year. Our Salon Spa is based at the heart of the Ogeechee River basin and our customers enjoy the beauty and benefits of living so close to this amazing river and appreciate all of the work undertaken by Ogeechee Riverkeeper to preserve, protect and improve the water quality of the Ogeechee River basin.”
