When= Saturday January 27, 2018

Where= Richmond Hill’s Sterling Creek Park for the New Mountain Bike Trails

What= Blazed a 1.2 mile beginner level loop of the proposed 2 miles total Mountain Biking Course.
Work included cutting trees, Ditch witching to help excavate tree roots which where then manually dug out. In addition volunteers cut, dug and removed underbrush, and trimmed over hanging branches.

Why= This portion of the Mountain Biking Course is an Eagle Scout Project for Timothy Carlson from Troop 486. The course once completed will be a total of — miles consisting of beginner and intermediate level riding. This will benefit the community of Richmond Hill as well as Mountain Bike enthusiasts from surrounding areas.

A special thanks to Blue Line Rental for donating the Ditch Witch.  Also, thanks to the many adult and youth volunteers for their time and equipment.

Thank you Mr. Ryan for allowing me to organize, plan and execute a portion of this project for my Eagle Scout project.
